Hamri Bahini- The Green Angels, a social enterprise of Himalayan Climate Initiative organized series of orientations with the Bhatbhateni Cashiers in regards to the Hamri Bahini cloth bags sold in various outlets of Bhatbhateni Super Market. The Hamri Bahini Green Angels Green Shopping Project, initiated by Hamri Bahini and The Gen Nep – Nation First, saw 110 volunteers come together to help reduce the use of polythene bag in the largest supermarket chain Bhatbhateni Super Market, in Nepal. The Gen Nep engaged them with activities like assigning them different cash counters where they helped sell the cloth bags made by disadvantaged young women enrolled under the program Hamri Bahini, a social enterprise initiated by HCI. The orientation for students of Campion Academy saw many young and enthusiastic students talk about their passions for volunteerism and service to the society. The orientation given by Shilshila Acharya, Program Co-ordinator of Hamri Bahini left the students inspired to do more. The talk ensued an interactive session where in most of the students cleared their doubts about the social enterprise and its contribution towards the society.
